141 Red Cedar Lane

Although small in area, 141 Red Cedar Ln contains a diversity of vegetation that provides moderate coverage in the understory as well as the forest canopy.  Loblolly pines and palmettos dominate the forest canopy, while immature cabbage palmettos and shrubs fill the forest floor.  Other species that are characteristic of the maritime forest environment are also evident.  Within the wooded area, there are also a few dead trees and stumps – which could potentially be used for wildlife habitat.  This property has ecological value as it is a rare piece of undeveloped land within a developed area.  The property is surrounded by developed lots with homes on all sides.

This property was donated to the Conservancy in April 2005.
